Design-Build construction of a new facility designed to serve as a highly specialized training environment for the Artillery School and the Air Defense Artillery School within a single story facility. The Joint Fires and Effects (JFETS) facility incorporates program areas for JFETS simulator trainers, virtual reality environmental trainers, digital distributed learning classrooms, video teleconferencing, administration space, conference rooms, secure storage, break rooms, and restrooms collocated to support the training mission requirements. The facility provided the following functional areas: a) Artillery School Training areas, b) Air Defense School Training area, c) Digital Distributed Learning Classrooms, d) Administration areas, e) Latrine and Janitorial areas, and f) Building Utility areas. All site and building features were designed in accordance with Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) requirements.  This project achieved a USGBC LEED Silver Certification.
