The project consists of the design and construction of four new Bachelor Enlisted Quarters located across three multiple sites in Camp Pendleton. Multiple buildings were constructed for each BEQ identified which include the main BEQ structures (3- and 4-story), a separate Activity Buildings (1-story), and a separate Mechanical Building. Community and service core areas were designed for convenience, durability, and functionality, and consisted of laundry facilities, administrative offices, multi-purpose rooms, media room, kitchen, housekeeping areas and public restrooms. The multiple sites within this package included recreation areas consisting of a regulation sand volleyball court, a basketball courts, martial arts pits, horseshoe pits, fitness trail and stations, a large artificial turf field, a monumental pedestrian bridge, an outdoor fire pit and social gathering area, and landscaped open spaces. Additional structures include shaded BBQ/picnic areas with concrete benches and picnic tables, BBQs, and shade structures designed to be compatible with the proposed BEQ architectural character, and a separate Mechanical Building.
