This project was the first Design-Build BEQ Package of a large-scale BEQ Program for the US Marine Corps’ “Grow the Force” initiative.  The contract included five separate BEQ Facilities plus 5 separate Activity Buildings, located on three different sites to support personnel of the growing Marine Corps forces at MCB Camp Pendleton, CA.  Each site was designed as a residential complex to evoke the sense of a college campus in the private sector.  Each BEQ facility included an upgraded Activity Building which was designed to consolidate all of the support and recreation functions into a single building.  The floor plan included an expanded Multi-Purpose/Lounge Room, a Computer Area, a TV-Gaming Alcove, a Consolidated Laundry, a Kitchen, the Duty Rooms, vending, and restrooms.  A Laundry Room with washers and stacked dryers was provided for the resident use.
